Get clarity before you invest in a project

Who it is for

People who know something needs to change but do not yet know whether that means a website, a prototype, a rescue, or a decision not to build. It is also useful when stakeholders are not aligned, or when a previous vendor left the work incomplete.

Example situations

• The website no longer matches the quality of the business, but you are not sure whether it needs a refresh or a replacement.
• You have an application idea and need to know what is worth building first.
• Something on the current site is not converting, and you want a clear diagnosis before spending more.
• You have been given conflicting advice and need one coherent recommendation.

What to prepare

You do not need a brief. It helps if you can share:

• The current website or product, if one exists
• What prompted you to seek help now
• What success would look like in the next 90 days
• Any hard constraints around budget, timing, or internal approval

What happens during the 90 minutes

We discuss the business, the audience, and the request underneath the request. I will examine the current approach, name the assumptions that may be in the way, and outline what is worth doing now versus later. This is working time, not a sales pitch.

What the written summary contains

• The problem as reframed, in plain language
• Recommended next step and why
• A short priority roadmap
• Suggested scope and approach
• A preliminary investment range

You receive the written summary within a few business days of the session.

What the session does not include

It is not design production, development, a full audit deliverable, or a substitute for a larger engagement. Implementation, if we continue, is scoped separately. If we are not a fit, you still keep the written summary.

Investment

$500

The fee is due before the session is confirmed. If we move forward together within 30 days, it can be credited toward an eligible website, prototype, or rescue engagement.

Cancellation and rescheduling

You may reschedule with at least 48 hours’ notice. Cancellations inside 48 hours forfeit the fee, except in genuine emergencies. One reschedule is included; after that, a new session fee may apply.
